The stimulant effect of Rosemary on the central nervous system is very marked. Rosemary is used where such as loss of smell, where the sensory nerves have been affected, for some kinds of speech impairment and for temporary paralysis, where the motor nerves are affected. It is an excellent brain stimulate, that's for remembrance. Inhaling a few drops of this oil certainly produces a feeling of great mental clarity, which undoubtedly aids all thought processes. Touch the temples and nostrils with 2 or 3 drops for all the diseases of the brain. It is very quick and piercing, and therefore but little must be taken at a time. The piercing quality of Rosemary makes it valuable for the common cold, catarrh and sinusitis, through to asthma. For these it is best used as a steam inhalation its ability to clear the head and works on the physical as well as the mental plane.
It is an excellent tonic for the heart, liver and gallbladder, helps to lower cholesterol levels in the blood. It is good analgesic, without having the sedative effects of many of the other painkilling oils. Often used in massage, baths and compresses to relieve pain in rheumatism and arthritis. It is also good to use for tired, stiff and overworked muscles. Rosemary has been good to use in skin and hair care. Used it in rinsing water for dark hair, and as a scalp friction, which is valuable for excessive hair loss or poor condition, especially when these follow a period of illness or convalescence. It is reputed to restore color to grey hair and even to cure baldness.
The perfume of Rosemary does bear some resemblance to that of Frankincense. It was used to be burnt in sickrooms as a fumigant for many centuries. Rosemary is the bush, the oil may be distilled from the flowering tips or the leaves. This is a plant with quite variable chemistry but a typical would include camphor, borneol, pinene, and cineol though not necessarily in that order. The oil is pale straw colored, with a strong and piercing aroma. It is a stimulating oil, both warm and penetrating in its odor and its actions.

Treatment: A good nerve stimulant and helps to tone temporarily paralyzed limbs. Energises and activates the brain, the vital part of the central nervous system and clears headaches and migraines. Its a pain relieving agent helps ease gout, rheumatic pains and tired overworked muscles. Rosemary also is a valuable heart tonic and cardiac stimulant, normalizing low blood pressure, a possibly good effect on anemia. This is a tonic for the lungs and could help with colds, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and influenza. Acts as a liver decongestant and may help a boosting action on the digestion could ease dyspepsia, flatulence and stomach pains. Seems to relieve menstrual cramp and combats scanty periods. Its diuretic properties are used in water retention during menstruation and may be effective with cellulite and obesity.
Effect On Skin: Rosemary is a strong astringent, helpful for sagging skin, toning, binding and may ease congestion, puffiness, and swelling as well. Its stimulating action has been found to benefit scalp disorders and could alleviate dandruff and encourage hair growth.
